"Florence Marks Aug. 8, 1918-Nov. 5, 1993

SOUTH BEND-Florence "Peggy" Marks, 75, of 187722 E. Douglas Road, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday in Fountainview Place. Mrs. Marks was the co-owner and operator of Peglen Kennels. She was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Holland, MIch., and moved to the area in 1939 from Muskegon, Mich. On Nov. 12, 1939, in Muskegon, as Florence Johnson, she married Leonard D. Marks. He died in March 1993. Surviving is a foster son, Phil Barnaby of Mishawaka.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Burial will be at a laer date. McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may made to St. Joseph County Humane Society or any charity."
