Sioux Falls - Florence A. Patterson, 62, of Sioux Falls, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at Sioux Valley Centennial Hospice Cottage surrounded by her family.

Florence A. Geiken was born November 27, 1943 in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls, where she received her education, graduating from Washington High School in 1961.

On October 29, 1965, she was united in marriage with Ronald Patterson in Sioux Falls. Following their marriage, they lived in Sioux Falls for 3 years. The couple lived in Dell Rapids for 20 years, where Florence was employed as ateacher´s aid at the elementary school level for several years. They moved back to Sioux Falls in 1991, where Florence worked for Citibank for the past 13 years. She was employed with Citibank until the time of her death.

Florence was a member of First Baptist Church in Sioux Falls.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Ronald Patterson of Sioux Falls; her sons, David Patterson and his wife, Jill, of Sioux Falls and Paul Patterson and his wife, Dayis, also of Sioux Falls; her brother, Floyd Geiken andhis wife, Debbie, of Sioux Falls; and two sisters, Lila Castle and her husband, Jim, of Sun Prairie, WI and Leona Wall and her husband, Jerry, of Reno, NV.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location.

Memorials may be directed to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
