Melvin Dean Kuper, age 85, of Greybull, Wyoming passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Saint Vincent Health Care Hospital in Billings, Montana.

Melvin was born August 3, 1930 at Marvin, South Dakota to Harmon and Myrtle Kuper. He was raised in Marvin and received his schooling in Marvin.

He met the love of his life, Carol Solberg, and they were married on May 21, 1950 at Marvin, South Dakota. To this union were born two children, Joel and Robyn.

Melvin was a hardworking man and provided for his family with a caring heart. He enjoyed woodworking and refinishing furniture, loved spending time with his family, and later in life took up skydiving. His wife and family were very important to him. He was a member of the Elks BPOE Lodge #1611 at Cody, Wyoming.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carol Kuper. He is survived by his son, Joel (Wendy) Kuper of Greybull, Wyoming; his daughter, Robyn (Todd) Stacey of Woodruff, Utah; his siblings: Myra Olsen of North Fort Myers, Florida, Yvonne (Vonnie) Sager of Omaha, Nebraska, Marlyn Kuper of Watertown, South Dakota, and John (Jack) Kuper of The Villages, Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Atwood Family Funeral Directors assisted the family with the arrangements.
