Joyce Ann Johnson, 70, of Gettysburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home.

She was born on April 8, 1952, in Union City, Indiana, to the late William "Bill" and Ruth (Sullenbarger) Fox.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Scott Johnson.

Joyce was a 1970 graduate of Greenville High School. In her early years, Joyce worked for WDRK radio station and Neff Lettering. She then worked at Corning Glass. Joyce was a cancer survivor and a proud and active volunteer for the Darke County Relay for Life. She was known as the family caregiver and loved helping others. Joyce enjoyed doing word searches and Sudoku. Most of all, Joyce adored her family and she was always proud of her step grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 51 years, Raymond 'Eddie' Johnson, whom she married on December 12, 1970; her son, Mike (Rebecca) Johnson of Greenville; her three step grandchildren, Kevin Nickson, Jerrica Gahret, and Cheyenne Howard, along with several great grandchildren; her siblings, Betty (Rod) Hartzell of Greenville, Roger (Retta Gutshall) Fox of Las Vegas, Nevada, Karen (Doug) Shoenleben, and John (Crystal) Fox of West Milton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, , at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
