'SARAH J. WHITAKER - Sarah J. Lehman, youngest daughter of Joseph and Barbara Lehman was born Nov. 10, 1864, in Amboy township, Fulton county, Ohio, and passed away Friday morning January 18, 1946, at the home where she resided for nearly60 years, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 8 days. She was the last of the family of six children to pass away.

She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour in early youth and became a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Church, later uniting with the Traill Chapel United Brethren Church at Delta, Ohio, to which she remained a faithful member untilher death.

She was united in marriage with Charles A. Salsberry March 6, 1883. To this union were born seven children, four having died in infancy, and her husband passed away July 31, 1914.

On the 19th day of August, 1915, she was united in marriage with Edmond Whitaker, and was again bereaved of her companion July 21, 1916.

She leaves to mourn two daughters, Viva E. Richy, Portland, Oregon; Mabel B. Dohm, Delta, Ohio; and one son, Joseph Earl Salsberry, Delta, Ohio, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Onegrandson, Ralph Richy, was killed in the last World War, and two great grandchildren preceded her in death. The services were conducted from the Newill Funeral Home, Delta, Monday afternoon, Jan. 21, 1946, at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev.C. A. Vincent officiating. Burial was made in the Salsberry cemetery.'
