Julius Engelby came to America from Norway as a young man and settled in Jewell IA, where he worked as a hired hand for his brother. Julius married Julia Sexe at Jewell. After farming in that vicinity until 1914, They purchased a farm north of Rake. After a number of years, the family moved to Blue Earth MN.
