Funeral services for Charles C. Farmer, 73, 1617 S. Walnut St., a resident of Muncie for 38 years, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Parsons Mortuary, with the Rev. Charles Anders officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The Elks Lodge also will hold services. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Farmer died Wednesday night at Ball Hospital after a brief illness. He was a barber in the Kirby Barbershop for 25 years, and at one time operated his own shop at 122 N. Walnut St. He was employed as a plant guard at Warner Gear Division from 1941 to 1951.

He was a former exalted ruler of the Muncie Elks Lodge and also a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include the wife, Goldie two sons, William O. Farmer, New Castle, and Ivron F. Farmer, Indianapolis; a stepson, Marshall Little, Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Delphia Marshall, Muncie; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
