Tribute & Message From The Family

Sharleen Ann Beerenstrach, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Brian LGH East in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born on October 18, 1943 to Henry and Leola Beerenstrauch, in Beatrice, Nebraska. She was baptized on November 21, 1943 and confirmed April 15, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a longtime member of the Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Sharleen graduated from Beatrice High School in 1961. She then attended Nebraska State Teacher's College in Kearney. On April 27, 1964, she started working for Continental Western Group, were she worked for the past 47 years and 10 months, until the time of her death. Her current position was Team Lead in Underwriting Services.

Sharleen was very talented in crafting, where she made doll houses, calendars, Christmas cards, and other various crafts. Sharleen was an avid Husker football fan and enjoyed spending time watching football.

Survivors include her aunts Beulah Bohlmeyer of Gretna, Dorothy Vorderstrasse of Fairbury, and Irene Stewart of Lincoln; Uncles Marvin (Joyce) Hohensee of Lincoln, Alvin Kobes of Wilbur; and many cousins, family, and friends.

Sharleen is preceded in death by her father and mother; Uncles Louis, Melvin, Merlyn, David, Wayne, Dale, Virgil, and Leo; Uncles-in-law Edward Vorderstrasse, Alfred Bohlmeyer, and Bill Stewart; Aunt Marjorie Kobes; and Aunt-in-law Bonnie Hohensee.

Memorial Service with lunch reception afterwards will begin at 10:30 am, Friday, March 2, 2012 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Burial service to follow at 12:30 pm at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials to be sent to Tabitha Health Care Services or People's City Mission of Lincoln."
