Edgar F. Johnson was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Moline, the son of Edgar and Vernice Frederick Johnson. He married Jeanette L. Cramer on June 28, 1947 in Moline, IL.

He retired in 1984 as a material coordinator in the material services department at John Deere Harvester, East Moline, after 28 years of service. He also worked at the former American Machine and Metals, East Moline.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Marcia Gerber and Margo Geyer; a son, Kent, all of Moline; seven grandchildren; sisters, Betty Seams, Port Byron, Ill., and Carol Wheeler, Satsuma, Fla.; a half sister, Alice Malone; and a half brother, Wesley Johnson, both of Moline.
