Daughter of Albert N(e)ijenhuis (Kampen 1857 - Kampen 1939) and Hendrikje Selles (Genemuiden 1856 - Kampen 1897).

Mrs. C. H. Van Oort. 95, of Rock Valley, died Wednesday in a hospital at Rock Valley after a brief illness.

Services were Saturday in the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Gordon Bloemendaal officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Van Oort, the former Albertha Nuyenhuis, was born Dec. 16, 1886, in the Netherlands. She came to the United States at the age of 19.

She married Cornelius H. Van Oort March 24, 1914, at Middleburg. They farmed in the Larchwood and Inwood area until 1953 when they retired and moved to Rock Valley. He died Sept. 29, 1961.

Survivors include three sons, Albert of Rock Valley, Henry of Rock Rapids and Arnold of Miltona, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Weber (Jane) Burgers of Rock Valley, Mrs. Edwin (Eva) Van Berkum and Mrs. Willard (Harriet) Thompson, both of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 19 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
