He was born on June 16, 1938 to Merle and Velma (Schlappi) Sutherland in Lake Odessa, MI. On May 9, 1959 he married Gloria Neeb and she survives. Leon proudly served his country in the Army as a Radio Operator in Korea. For twenty years he faithfully ran the Honor Guard for Jackson Muchler Post 4461. He worked for GM in the Skilled Trades until his retirement. Leon was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Leon will be remembered for his patriotism and his good nature.
