Delores Darlene Radel was born October 30, 1940 near Monroe, SD at the farm of her parents, Peter and Elstienna (Wiemen) Viet. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1958.

She married Darrell E. Kemnitz in November 1958. He died in a motorcycle accident in August 1960.

She married Delmar E. Griebeel in April of 1961. He died in a car accident in June of 1970.

She then married Merle K. Radel December 16, 1972.

She was baptized in 1973 and later became a member of the First Baptist Church of Emery. They farmed near Emery until they retired in 2005 and then moved to Sioux Falls.

Delores loved gardening and canning and was a great cook. Many a guest enjoyed the meals she prepared for them. She also was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting; she also enjoyed playing the piano.

Delores is survived by four children: Carol Schulte and husband, Dennis, Steven Griebel and friend, Diana Camfield, Kim Brandenburg and husband, Bill, Kevin Griebel and friend, Kristi Thorson all of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren: Becky Lambert, Sioux Falls, Dr. Aaron Schulte and wife, Katie, Eden Prairie, MN, Dr. Justin Schulte, Denver, CO, Nathan Schulte, Paige Brandenburg and fiancé, Brady Bruns, Morgan Brandenburg, Sioux Falls; three great-grandchildren: Braidon and Kaylie Lambert, Sioux Falls, Kayli Otto, Eden Prairie, MN; three brothers: Lawrence (LaVonne) Viet of Marion, Pete Viet of Parker, Bob (Theola) Viet of Sioux Falls; two sisters: Esther Puthoff of Canistota, Shirley (Orville) Mathies of Parker and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Tillena Carlson.
