Connie's Obituary
Constance "Connie" Jean Mathison, daughter of Engvald and Avis (Kluck) Mathison was born on the farm north of Humboldt, South Dakota on December 18, 1940. Connie grew up in the Humboldt area and attended country school for 8 years and graduated from Montrose High School.
Connie was united in marriage with Robert Borgers on September 26, 1958; they lived on a farm before moving to Sioux Falls. Born to this union were three children, Sheryl, Laurie, and Robert. When they moved to Sioux Falls, Connie began working at the Social Security Office.

Connie then moved to Minneapolis and continued to work for the Social Security Administration. In January 2006 after working for 30 plus years she retired as a Claims Representative from the Social Security Administration.

Following her retirement, Connie enjoyed being able to care for her granddaughter, Liana. Her other love and passion was her birds.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Sheryl (Jeff) Johnson, Phoenix, AZ, Laurie (Anil) Gadre, San Francisco, CA, Robert (Missung) Borgers, Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Alyssia Johnson, Sara Gadre and Liana Borgers; mother, Avis Mathison, Humboldt, SD; sisters-in-law, Sharon Mathison, Elaine Mathison, and Helen Neilson; three aunts, Ada Lofswold, Nellvina Boyd, Geneva Kluck; two great aunts, Myrtle Barrett, Nila Pitts; and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to her father, Engvald Mathison, her three brothers, Arthur, Allen and Dean Mathison, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Free Methodist Church, 2222 S. Cliff Ave., Sioux Falls. Public visitation begins at 6:00 pm Friday, February 16, 2007 with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home 13th & Main."
