The Milford [IA] Mail 23 Apr 1959

"Oscar Wilson Dies Suddenly at Spencer

Oscar Wilson, 78, longtime Milford resident, died at the Spencer hospital Friday morning, April 17 where he had been a patient since Monday, April 13 when he suffered a heart attack. Funeral services were held Monday, April 20 at 2 p. m. at the Little Sioux Lutheran church west of Milford with Rev. Christian Notsund officiatiing. The Leyson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was made in the Milford cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herbert Wallace, Lorraine Warburton, Gary Wilson, Duane Eckard, all of Milford; W. D. Brown of Sioux City; and Verlyn Marcks of Spencer. Mis Kay Dannatt and David Nelson sang a duet and Leonard Branstetter sang a solo.

He is survived by his wife, Anna, one son, Edward Wilson, Lake Park and six daughters, Mrs. Ida Eckard; Pearl (Mrs. George Ringler); Martha (Mrs. Ralph Nelson); Bessie (Mrs. Lyle Marcks); Teleen (Mrs. Glen Wilson); all of rural Milford and Dwanna (Mrs. Maurice Rehse) of Round Lake, Minn. He was preceded in death by a son, Glen, and a daughter, Viola, Mrs. Louie Schoorman."
