Ronald Edward Green, 69, of Westminster, died Jan. 10, 2010, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born Sept. 8, 1940, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Stuart F. and Hilda Taylor Green. He was the husband of Patricia Janocha Green, whom he married Nov. 13, 1965.

He had been a car salesman for Heritage Auto in Owings Mills. Prior to that, he worked at London Fog, and for Black & Decker. He served in the Army from 1959 until 1962. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and St. John Catholic High School Class of 1958. He was also a member of St. John Catholic Church and enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughters-in-law Jeffrey A. and Kathy Green, of Westminster, and Jason E. and Julie Green, of Hampstead; grandchildren Kim L. Moon, Tiffani G. Thornton, Jeffrey S. and Mackenzi T. Green; brothers- and sisters-in-law Mary and Jerry Rice, of Chevy Chase, Louise Rimbach, Rose Castle, and Albert and Vikki Janocha, all of Westminster; a nephew, William Green Jr.; and a niece, JoAnne Parsons.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Green. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Monsignor Arthur Valenzano officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Maryland Chapter, 825 Hammonds Ferry Road, Suite H-J, Linthicum, MD 21090.
