MRS. H. C. VAHRENWALD IS TAKEN BY DEATH

(Courier Special Service)

Gladbrook, Ia. - Mrs. Henry C. Vahrenwald, 73, a resident of Gladbrook for about 50 years, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hotopt, Beaman, Friday afternoon following a long illness with carcinoma. She had been a widow for about three years.

Surviving are five daughters and four sons. They include the following: Mrs. Carl Marshall, Mrs. James Karkosh, both of Waterloo; Mrs. Roger W. Wardin, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Joseph Hotopt, Beaman; Mrs. William Godfrey, Forest Park, Ill.; H. J. Vahrenwald, Denmark, Ia.; Christ, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Alva, Windsor, Colo., and Charles, Chicago.

There are also 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The body is to be returned here for burial and funeral service will be Monday afternoon at the Goettch Funeral home in Gladbrook.
