Regina Wilhelmina Feldman Born July 28, 1830 in Steenfelde, Ostfriesland, Germany. Died April 19, 1892, in Ackley, Grundy Co., Iowa.

Regina Wilhelmina Feldman was married twice. Her two marriage partners were brothers, Jan Friedrich Heetland and Herman Friedrich Heetland, first and second husband, respectively.

Jan Friedrich Heetland, the older brother, and his first wife, Janna Brunken, had two children: Johann "John" Heetland and Stientje "Stina" Heetland.

Jan's first wife, Janna Brunken, passed away at a very young age.

On April 2, 1864, Jan Friedrich Heetland remarried. He married Regina Wilhelmina Feldman in the Silver Creek Reform Church, German Valley, Illinois. Twelve days after this marriage, Jan Friedrich Heetland passed away, leaving Regina a widow and a stepmother of Jan's two children.

At about seven years prior to Jan's second marriage, Herman Friedrich Heetland married Juliane Luise Ravenstein on December 11, 1857, in Stephenson County, Illinois.

Over the next four years, Herman and Juliane had three children: Hindirk "Henry" Heetland, Johann "John" Friedrich Heetland, and Paul Friedrich Heetland. In 1863, Juliane passed away, leaving Herman a widower and a single parent left to raise three children.

On Aug. 26, 1864, Herman and Regina married, combining the two families. In 1868, Herman and Regina had a child of their own— Ludwig "Lewis" F. Heetland. Regina Wilhelmina and her husband, Herman, raised six (6) children: Johann Heetland (1854 - 1926), Stientje "Stina" Heetland (1856 - 1940), Hindirk "Henry" Heetland (1858 - 1923), Johann "John" Friedrich Heetland (1860 - 1941), Paul Friedrich Heetland (1861 - 1892), and Ludwig "Lewis" F. Heetland (1868 - 1952).

Regina Wilhelmina Feldman Heetland passed away on April 19, 1892, and was laid to rest in the East Friesland Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Ackley, Iowa.
