Tjade Tjaden, a Well-known Citizen of Wellsburg, Commits Suicide

Missed by his Family and Found Hanging in the Barn

Tjade Tjaden, a well-known citizen of Shiloh township, living four miles west and one mile south of Wellsburg, was found in the barn early this (Thursday) morning hanging by his neck.

No reason is given for his committing the rash deed. He was missed by the members of his family in the morning and search being made he was found dead as stated.

He leaves a wife and several children, two of them are married and three are living at home. One daughter, Mrs. Amos Show, lives at Morrison.

The coroner was notified and the inquest held this afternoon.

Tjade Tjaden, a prosperous farmer living four miles west of Wellsburg in Grundy county, committed suicide by hanging himself in his barn. He was about 50 years old and leaves a wife and five children. No reason is known for the act.
