"Marvin Sanderson, 65

CONRAD - Services for Marvin Sanderson, 65, Conrad, who died Monday, Jan. 21 at his home of respiratory failure, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Beaman United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Shreve will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Beaman; Military rites wil be conducted by the Weatherman-Walter American Post 131 of Beaman.

Friends may call at the Johnston Funeral Home until 9 p.m. Thursday. The casket will remain closed.

He was born Sept. 1, 1925 in rural Beaman to Ira and Daisy Rowe Sanderson. He graduated from Beaman High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a Purple Heart.

On Feb. 15, 1948 he married Lois A. Lindaman in Wellsburg. They were divorced in 1977.

He was a retired truck driver for Zern's Enterprises.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

Survivors include six sons, Jerry, Las Vegas, Nevada, Kenny, Conrad, Bobby and Ricky, both of Beaman, Gary, Berwin, Ill., and Denny, Conrad; four daughters, Barb (Mrs. Jim) Croxdale, Cedar Rapids, LeeAnn Switzer, Conrad, Linda (Mrs. Curt) Hoff, Nevada, and Lori (Mrs. Bob) Budziak, Aurora, Colo.; three sisters, Avonelle Henema, Rogers, Ark., Ruth (Mrs. John) Glessner, State Center, and Doris Stover, Waterloo; and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers."
