"Abram Hilbrands -- was a brother of Martin L. and John. He came here from Germany as a young man, first living in Illinois. It was there he married Jennie Blumeyer, daughter of Jan Blumeyer. A few years later, they moved to Lyon County to a farm two and a half miles west of George, where Delbert Kannegieter not lives.
