Dorothy "Pearl" Gilbertson

Pearl Gilbertson passed away November 29, 2016. Pearl was born July 29, 1928 in Niagara, ND and was living in Burnsville, MN at the time of her death. Pearl is survived by daughter Margaret "Peggy" Tibbetts (Richardson, TX), son David Gilbertson and wife Senta (Shakopee, MN), daughter Mary Fritsch and husband Jim (Colleyville, TX), son Richard Gilbertson and wife Nancy (Savage, MN), and foster daughter Marcia Ramthun and husband Larry (Eagan, MN). Pearl is also survived by her brother Charles Anderson (Stewartville, MT) and sister Janette Moen (Michigan City, ND. She is preceded in death by her eldest son Dennis Gilbertson whose wife Jan still resides in Fargo, ND, brothers Ed Anderson and Fred Anderson, and sisters Katherine Ouradnik, Rosemary Frost, Freda Schmidt, Rosalie Anderson, and Anna Marie Anderson.

Pearl has 13 grandchildren. Dennis' family includes Chad Gilbertson and wife Steph, LaDena Gilbertson, Erica Lohse and husband Brandon, Jennifer Gilbertson, and Holly Canada and husband Robert. Peggy's family includes Mary Schleis, Melissa Zechiel and husband Jason, and Joshua Tibbetts. David's family includes Iesha, Michael, Rashad, and Dewayne. Mary's family includes son Jason Wilson and daughter Melissa Fritsch. Richard's family includes Rebecca Bornstein and husband Nate, Kelly Gilbertson, Brandy Gilbertson, Holly Gilbertson, and foster daughter Krystal Fairbanks and husband Ben. There are also 29 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at The Rivers (11111 River Hills Drive, Burnsville, MN 55337) in the Seasons Atrium on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Burial and final services will be held in late spring 2017 in Michigan City, ND where she will rest alongside her parents Mortinus and Florence Anderson. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to her preferred charities are encouraged: the American Cancer Society, The Alzheimer's Association, and the American Heart Association."
