Dennis Gilbertson, 57, of Fargo, died January 18, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident on interstate 94 near Eckelson, ND.

Dennis was born December 12, 1950 in Moorhead, MN to Lyle and D. Pearl (Anderson) Gilbertson. His family lived in Grand Forks, ND, Minneapolis, MN, and Boston, MA. He graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis in 1968. He then returned to Fargo, graduating from NDSU with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics in 1974. He then attended graduate school at NDSU for Computer Science. Dennis married Janice Schol in Fargo on December 12, 1983 He was employed at NDSU until 1983. He then began working at the Veterans Affair Hospital, where he set up their computer system. He was employed at the Veterans Affair Hospital until his death as the Chief of Information Resource Management. Dennis had a love for: his children and grandchildren, enjoyed NDSU athletics -particularly football, coaching FM Athletics, and country music.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jess Dewey Lyle III; and his grandparents.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2 pm Friday January 25, 2008 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo.

VISITATION: 5-7pm Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service at the church.

PRAYER SERVICE: 7pm Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.

BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo.
