Pearl Stubbe was born April 17, 1907 at Wolthusen, Germany. She was the daughter of Dirk and Make (Hoogestraat) Aeilts. She lived her youth in Ellsworth, Minnesota and attended school at Ellsworth.

She married Simon Snuttjer on December 2, 1925 at the Hope Reformed Church parsonage southwest of George, Iowa. After Simon's death, she married John F. Stubbe on September 19, 1951 at Willow Lake, South Dakota. She lived her married life in George, Iowa. She was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Pearl died on Saturday, April 13, 1996 at the George Good Samaritan Center at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters; Mary D. Gregory of San Diego, California; Annabelle D. Kanis, Audrey D. Jacobs, and Patricia E. Mitchell, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also left to cherish her memories are nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ell Buss of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Harvey D.; six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services for Pearl Stubbe were held on Wednesday, April 17, 1996 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George, Iowa with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery west of town.
