Irene Rogers, age 79, of Reading, died Sunday, December 21, 2003 at the Worthington Regional Hospital. She was born April 14, 1924, In LeRoy, MN, to Michael and Mayme (Liddy) Spellman; she graduated from LeRoy High School.

Irene married Alvin "Doc" Rogers August 12,1950,in Adrian. After their marriage, the couple lived in Reading.

She was a homemaker; and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington.

Irene is survived by her husband "Doc": Rogers, Reading; daughter Ginger Rogers, Reading; brother, Frank (Marcella) Spellman, Grand Meadow; sister, Violet Kittleson, Rochester; and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Tom Spellman.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the Dingman Funeral Home, in Worthington; and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Funeral will be 1 PM Wednesday at the Dingman Funeral Chapel, in Worthington. Burial will be in the Summit Lake Cemetery, in Reading.
