Axel emigrated to America when he was 18. Axel and Tillie lived in Radcliffe, Iowa a few years after they were married and then moved to a farm just outside Ellsworth, Iowa. After Axel retired his son Kenneth farmed the home place. Axel remarried July 3, 1973 to Martha Anderson - DOB Dec. 28, 1908 - Died Dec. 13, 2008
I don't have much to add character. Tillie I didn't know at all, she died when I was 8 mos. old. Axel I remember as a sweet man, with a charming accent. He made several trips back to Sweden in his lifetime and brought us wonderful souvenirs. He died when I was 16 (I was a late addition ;-) ...
