Hastings resident Mildred Ruth (Rosenau) Buhr, 79, of Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion died Friday, June 30, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Butler-Volland Funeral Home Chapel in Hastings with the Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today, 1-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Buhr was born Jan. 8, 1921, to Elmer and Anna (Fricke) Rosenau in Hastings.
She graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1935.

On Aug. 7, 1939, she married Alvin Buhr in Minden. She worked at Bert's Pharmacy for 14 years and retired in the late 1980s. Her husband died in 1988.

She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Women's Circle and church choir.

Survivors are four sons, Donald of Glenvil, Harvey of Doniphan and Ronald and Daniel, both of Hastings; one daughter, Marlene Schnakenberg of Webber, Kan.; three brothers, Raymond and Arnold, both of Phoenix, and Dale of Garden City, Kan.; four sisters, Eleanor Mohrlang and Bonnie Theesen, both of Hastings, Evelyn Motley of Glenvil and Shirley Nelson of Inland; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene; one brother; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be given to the family's choice.
