Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Pittenger, 51, wife of Charles E. Pittenger, principal of Blaine Junior High School, who died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday at the family home, 501 North Calvert St., were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Normal City M.E. Church. The Reverend W. Earl Pittenger officiated. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Miss Lucille Pittenger; a son, Raymond Pittenger, at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Marion Pittenger, of Muncie, Mrs. Dent Smith, of Royerton, and Mrs. Cora Norris, of Muncie.
