Mrs. Alpha C. Burrier, 88, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday at Coshocton County Memorial hospital after one weekÙus illness.

She had been a resident of the Rose Lawn nursing home, West Lafayette Route 1, for the past four years.

Mrs. Burrier was born August 30, 1875, at Canal Lewisville, a daughter of John M. and Malinda Wilson Besst. She was married Jan. 13, 1897, to Eli Burrier, who died Aug. 12, 1943.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mabel Geese, West Lafayette Route 1; Mrs. Ethel Kron, Sugarcreek Route 1; Mrs. Minnie Crouse, West Lafayette and Mrs. Mary Rauschenbach, Baltic; four sons, Robert Burrier, Dresden, Ross Burrier,Coshocton, Edgar Burrier, Fresno Route 1, and Frank Burrier, Baltic; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, one son and three brothers are deceased.

Mr. and Mrs. Burrier formerly operated a White Eyes township farm.

She was a member of the West Lafayette Methodist church.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bonnell-OÙuNeill funeral home with Rev. Paul Olinger officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
