"Albert Metzger, 77

Funeral services for Albert Louis Metzger, 77, of Lone Rock were held Saturday morning, November 14, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Lone Rock with the Rev. Virgil Brack officiating. Interment was in East Lawn Cemetery, at Algonaand Geilenfeld-Schaaf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Metzger passed away at his farm home on Thursday, November 12, 1981 after a sudden illness.

Albert Metzger was born November 5, 1904 at Dedham to Joseph and Elizabeth (Baumhover) Metzger. He attended school at Dedham. As a young man he came to Kossuth county.

He was married to Antony Leeck January 22, 1927 at Algona. They farmed in Plum Creek township until 1941, then bought a farm in Lotts Creeks township where they farmed until 12 years ago when they retired and continued to live on thefarm. His hobbies were fishing and yard ornaments.

Survivors include his wife, Antony; a son, Duane Metzger of Lone Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Wilbert (Imogene) Boeckholt of Buffalo Center and Mrs. Joan Garrett of Fenton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.Elizabeth Beebe of Coon Rapids and Mrs.
