Painter and Print Maker. Born in Cleves, Ohio, he took an interest in creating art early in life and went to study in Europe from 1927 to 1935. He studied art at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and at the Fountainebleau School. Also a pen and ink artist, he completed gesture portrait drawings in this medium and painted several colorful abstract paintings that often suggested landscapes.
