BIOGRAPHY: "History of Cosh Co, OH" by N. Hill, p787 - "Alexnader Shultz, Adams twp; farmer; postoffice, Evansburgh; bor in Jeferson Co 24 Sep 1841, s/o Jacob and Eliz J. (Cook) Shultz, and grandson of Henry Shultz and Jesse Cook. Heenlisted 1 Jan 1862 in Company G, eightieth O.V.I., under Cap Marshall, went into camp at cam pMeigs, thence to cam p Chase at Columbus, OH,thence to camp Joh Holt, thence3 to Paducha, Kentucky, and from there to Hamgburg, Tennesse,thence to camp Clear Creek, Mississipp, and from there was sent to Evansville hospital, Indiana, where he remained seven months, anf ffrom there came home, having received his discharge on the 8th of Feb 863, on account of disability. Hehas devoetd most of his time since then to farming; was also prprietor of Shultz House in Chili for eight years. He lived one and a half years in Tuscarawas co. Frm there he moved to Adams twp, this county where is at present living, invery prosperous condition. He was married 20 Jan 1867 to Miss Catharin eE. Geese, da/u of Samuel and Lydia (Killian) Geese, and grandaughter of Catharine Geese, and Jon Elizabeth (Long) Killian. Mr. Shultz was born in Comberland co, Pa 10Jan 1848 , and came to Ohio in May lf the same year. They have two children - Gdgar G born 4 Jun3 1868, and Lydia J. born 3 Jan 1870."
