Harvey B. Stauffer, 84, of 217 Carlisle Street, died today at 2:40 a.m. at Hillview House, where he was a patient the last two weeks.

Born in Adams County, he was the son of the late Franklin and Elizabeth (Bollinger) Stauffer.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ; Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles; Hanover Home Association; and the Eagle's Fire Company.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline (McKinney) Stauffer; a son, Raymond Stauffer, 612 Locust Street; a stepson, Raymond Toal, 12 Newberry Street; threethree grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; And two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Maggie Bollinger, Brethren Home, New Oxford; Mrs. Annie Ruhlman, 813 York Street; Herman Stauffer, East Berlin R.D. 1; and Franklin Stauffer, 719 York Street.

His pastor, the Rev. Carroll C. Luckenbaugh, will officiate at the funeral service Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home, Carlisle Street. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow evening.
