Viola J. Tutje, 78, of Pound, died Saturday, March 12, 1994, at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, Wis.

Born Dec. 18, 1915, in Carnes, Iowa, she was the daughter of Matthew and Gertie Van Klei Johnson. She married Simon Tutje March 29, 1939, near Bigelow. The couple farmed near Fulda until 1970, when they retired and moved to Worthington. In 1992, they moved to Pound.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon (James) Minton, Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Ilona (David) Rakowski, Pound; three brothers; Maynard Johnson, Sibley, Iowa, John H. Johnson, Worthington, and Harold Johnson, Bigelow; onesister, Vesta Larson, Worthington; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church, Worthington.

The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Robert Christenson officiating. Burial will be in the East Holman Cemetery, Sibley. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman, Wis., is in chargeof arrangements. [Rakowski_GM.ged] ...
