Note: Jennie Funk Services for Jennie Funk, 75, Harris, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 1989, at the Harris United Methodist Church, Harris. Rev. Gordon K. Vickery officiated. Organist was Gwen Vickery and soloist was Wendell Williams with accompanistCollette Travis. Mr. Williams sang "One Day At A Time" and "Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary." The congregation sang "How Great Thou Art." Casketbearers were Mark Dillehay, Calvin Harms, Tom Ransom, Randy Rowe, Scott Robertson and Eugene Schmidt.

Mrs. Funk died Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Spirit Lake, following a long illness.

Jennie Jeanette Funk was bom March 11, 1914, at George to Everett and Etta (Jensen) Tutje. She attended country schools in the Allendorf area.

She married Garnet Funk June 10, -1936, near Allendorf. They farmed in various locations in the Osceola and Dickinson counties in Iowa and Nobles County in Minnesota. In 1969 they retired from farming and and he worked for Style Craft inMilford. In 1979 they moved to Harris where they did upholstery work. Following her husband's death in 1987 she continued to live in Harris.

Survivors include her children, Mrs. Lee (Gracie) LaCour, Ocheyedan, Mrs. Conroy (Verla) Johnson, Spirit Lake, Donna Kramer, Jackson, Minn., and Harold Funk, Harris; 10 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John(Loretta) Weinrank, Fulda, Minn., and Mrs. Ervin (Agnes) Dreessen, Port Orchard, Wash.; two brothers, Simon Tutje, Worthington, Minn., and Everet Tutje, Bigelow, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.

Burial was in the Union Cemetery, Harris and the Walton-Roste Funeral Home, Sibley, was in charge of arrangements.
