"MOTHER AND CHILD DIE OPERATION UNSUCCESSFUL
-
Mrs. Hindrs of Bristow Survived by Eight Children and Husband - A Tragic Death
[handwritten March 15 1924]
-
Mrs. Andrew Hinders of Bristow died at Mercy Hospital in this city about 12:30 o'clock on Saturday morning, only about an hour after she was brought from her home to the hospital. She was taken here in the hope that a Caesarian section operation might save the life of mother and baby. It was unavailing, however; the child was dead, and the mother was suffering with uremic poisoning, which had reached so serious a stage that nothing could save her.

Mrs. Hinders was less than forty years of age, and is survived by her husband and eight children.

The remains were taken to the undertaking parlors of the Waverly Furniture Company and there prepared for burial, after which they were taken to the home at Bristow."
