Emery Berton Kintner, 94, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Merrillville, IN. Born in Bryan, OH, Emery completed his Master's degree from Indiana University. Emery served as a Pastor with Union Church of the Brethren of Plymouth, Goshen Church of the Brethren, Maple Grove Church of the Brethren in New Paris, 45th Avenue Baptist Church of Gary, IN, Pleasant Chapel Church of the Brethren, and North Webster Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his sons, Robert (Nancy) Kintner of Munster, IN, and Don (Mary Lou) Kintner of Nashville, TN; 1 granddaughter Kristina (Brian) Hayden; 2 great-grandchildren, Brennan and Summer; and his brother, Sam Kintner of Broken Arrow, OK. Emery was preceded in death by wife, LaMoyle Kintner; daughter Susan Rodgers; parents Charles and Flosie Marie Kintner; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Service is 10:00 am, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Lockport Cemetery of Stryker, OH.
