"... Lambert married again and they left Ackley with horse and wagon and traveled northwest over prairie land for another destination. They came near Belmond and had a shack on the farm east of Belmond, known as the Henn farm. His second wife, Peterkena Veldhouse Blankman, had a daughter (Clousina Blankman who married John Blau) and together were blessed with three children, Dick L., Manna (Mrs. John Freeks) and Altje (Mrs. John Herriot.).

He was again widowed. After much research I could not find any information but through word of mouth, it is thought she also was buried in Ackley. ..."

It is my hypothesis Peterke (or Peterkena) was born Holthuis & married Klaas Blankman on 6 Apr 1866 in Ostfriesland. It is my hypothesis Klaas Blankmann died soon thereafter. A child by this union was Clousina Blankman. The widow, Peterkena Blankman née Holthuis, came to these United States, then married the widower, Lambert Pals, on 8 May 1869 at St. Peters's Church in Wellsburg, IA. - D. A. Navorska - xv Nov MMXIX - in proximo Grove, OK.
