Interesting: Herr Voß writes that the marriage banns were read at the Reformed church in Ditzumerverlaat on the 2nd, 9th, & 16th of April 1865, but the wedding took place in America. I interpret him to also write that marriage banns were read on those same dates at the Landschaftspolder Reformed church.

It is my hypothesis Lammert Pals lost his first wife, Jantje Okkels. He then married a widow, Peterkena Blankman. Peterkena's birth family name is Holthuis.-D. A. Navorska-xvi Nov MMXIX-in proximo Grove, OK.
