"Irene Winter, 80

Irene G. Winter, 80, of Buffalo Center, Iowa passed away on June 27, 2010 at the Timely Mission Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 30 at First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. Bill Peake officiating.Burial was held at Graceland Cemetery in Buffalo Center.

Marlene Krull was the organist for the memorial service while Brian Kramersmeier provided special music. Casket Bearers were Jason Schmitz, Shadrick Vogt, Justin Winter, Nathan Roberts, Eric Winter, and Shawn Vogt.

Irene G. Winter was born August 1, 1929 to William and Gertie (Janssen) Boehm. She grew up around the Lakota and Buffalo Center areas and attended county school. Most of her early life she worked various jobs until she met the love of herlife Edward Winter. They were united in marriage on March 5, 1947 in Blue Earth, MN. To this union she was blessed with seven children. She was a very devoted wife, mother and to her church, her organizations and to her work place fromwhich she retired of over forty years from Winnebago Industries.

She is survived by her five children: Lyle (Janet) Winter of Muscatine, IA; Lynda (Tom) Schmitz of Nora Springs, IA; Lynelle (David) Roberts of Lakota, IA; Lyndall (Nancy) Winter of Blue Grass, IA and Lysa Vogt of Blue Earth, MN; 11grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; Siblings Pauline Eisenhauer; Rosie (Harvey) Nerdig; Otto (Dorothy) Boehm; George (Elaine) Boehm; John Boehm; Fred Boehm; Robert (Gracille) Boehm; Denny (JoAnn) Boehm; many sister and brother-in-lawsand many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Edward; 2 children: Dale and Jeffery; her parents William and Gertie Boehm; her mother and father-inlaw Ubbe and Hermena Winter; brother Carl Boehm; 3 sister-in-laws: June Winter; Gretchen Boehm;Waneda Boehm; 4 brother-in-laws: Harold Eisenhauer; Andy Winter; John Winter; Merle Miller; and niece Sharon Miller."
