Note: The exact date of the marriage has not been found. From the James Family History we know that a son was lost in childbirth in 1856, so the year 1855 was supposed as the marriage year; Betsey would have been 18 at the time. As forthe location for the marriage, Enos was in the area of Sandusky in 1858 when a notice in the paper appeared advising of a letter waiting at the Post Office for him. Also, Betsey was from Bloomingville, so it is supposed that the marriageoccured in the area.
