Hill, Janet, e-mail to David A. Navorska, (Aylesbury, Bucks, J.H., xxvi Apr MMIV)

'I have been given your name and email address by Celia Humphrey. I am also a member of the Lincs FHS. It would seem that we are both researching the family of Gervase CULLEN and Elizabeth MILLWARD.

One of my Gt. Gt. Gt. Grandmothers was Sarah CULLEN (bp. 17.4.1811 at Brant Boughton, d. 27.7.1896 and buried at Hougham). Her parents were Gervis CULLEN (bp. 17.4.1785 at Gt. Hale, buried 6.6.1858 at Gt. Hale) and Mary HORNER (m.30.1.1801 at Brant Boughton). Gervis was the son of Thomas CULLEN (bp. 8.12.1751 at Ancaster, buried 12.8.1848 at Gt. Hale) and his wife, Elizabeth. In turn, I believe that Thomas was the son of Gervase CULLEN (b. 1718 atUpton-by-Southwell, Notts) and Elizabeth MILLWARD (b. 1724 at Nottingham).

Sarah married William JACKSON on 26.11.1832 at Marston and had thirteen children. Her son Robert was my maternal Grandfather's maternal Grandfather!'
