Occupation: Farmer

Parents: Raymond & Mildred Mariam (Harmon) Schuck

Author: Manges, Becky, Title: note to David A. Navorska, (Publication location: Ashland OH, Publisher: B.M., Publication date: xvi Oct MCMXCV)

Mrs. Manges writes, "Mildred M[ariam] Harmon" for the mother of Marshal.

Cause of death: diverticulitis. Marshal had suffered broken ribs & severe burns when a vehicle fuel tank exploded. He was taken to the burn trauma center at Akron Children's Hopsital. He was heavily sedated to suppress the pain. Hedeveloped a fever. The natural inclination was to believe the burns had become nfected. Actually, his bowel had burst & was not due to the accident directly or indirectly. Because of being sedated, the normal pain associated with diverticulitis did not direct the physicians to the locality of his infection as would be the case normally. When the source was discovered, the operation was toolate.

From conversations with Becky Manges on 3 December, it is learnt that Marshal is to be cremated & his ashes spread on his parents' graves in Risser Cem. in Vermillion Twp., Ashland Co., OH. A memorial service was held on Saturday, 6 Dec.2003.

Also, from conversations with Becky Manges, it is learnt that I have had the wrong date of birth for Marshal. His date of birth is 3 Aug., 1942, not 3 Aug. 1944.

Author: NN (anonymous) individual at Maranatha Bapt. Chr., Title: Annotations to a letter sent to Maranatha Bapt. Chr. by David A. Navorska, (Publication location: Vermillion Twp., Ashland Co., OH, Publisher: Maranatha Bapt. Chr., Publication date: postmarked xx Dec MMIII)

D.A.N. wrote, "I was wondering if Marshal [Schuck] was baptized at your church or through the auspices of Maranath Baptist Church." David make the logic mistake of including an 'or' in his question. He ought to have asked 2 separate questions.

D.A.N. wrote, 'I believe Dr. Taylor was the pastor.

M.B.C. wrote, "1964-1969 Somewhere in this time frame."

D.A.N. wrote, "Would [you] let me know if, when and where Marshal was baptized and by whom?"

M.B.C. wrote, "Maranatha Baptist by Dr. Taylor"

D.A.N. wrote, "... is the church located outside of town in a township? ..."

M.B.C. wrote, 'Located 1 mile w of Hayesville on 805 - 30-A in Vermillion Township'

I believe Marshal received Christ and was baptized while he was dating Becky or shortly after they were married. - David A. Navorska - xxvii Dec MMIII - Irving TX
