JACOB KURTZLEBEN, 70 DIES AT MASON CITY.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 15 at 1: p.m. at Ramsey Reformed Church for Jacob Kurtzleben, who died at Mercy Hospital, Mason City, on Wednesday, December 12. Burial was in Bingham Township Cemetery near Woden. ... ... Mr. Kurtzleben was born on February 16, 1886, on a farm near Ackley, the son of Jahanna and Harm Kurtzleben. He grew to manhood in the Ackley vicinity. On February 19, 1907 he was united in marriage to Katharine Henrietta Korte. Tothis union were born six children. In 1915 they moved to their farm home one mile east of Woden. Here they enjoyed 28 years of happy life.

He leaves his beloved wife; two sons, Harm of Britt, Calvin of Woden: three daughters, Francis, Mrs. B. Bruns of Titonka, Jo Ann, Mrs. J. D. Hobbs of Hampton and Katharine at home: and five granddaughters. He also is survived by fourhalf-brothers, ... and Mrs. Tena John Troff, Woden; Meindert Smidt Woden, Claus Smidt, Woden; Alrek Boeckholt, George Rippentrop, and Chris Brandt were pallbearers."
