Madelyn M. Madelyn M. Baumberger, 87, of Lambertville, Michigan and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away early Saturday morning, February 20, 2010, at The Toledo Hospital. Madelyn was born June 6, 1922, in Maumee to the late Bert and Clara (Shoemaker) Farr. She married Charles E. Baumberger, Jr. on June 15, 1940 and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1980. A 1940 graduate of Monclova High School, Mrs. Baumberger retired in 1985 from Riemers in Waterville after 22 years of employment. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for more than 65 years and enjoyed playing euchre. In her younger years, Madelyn sang with "The Rhythm Girls" on WTOL radio. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shirley (Victor Sr.) Lucarelli, Lambertville, Michigan, and Rex Baumberger, Pompano Beach, Florida; six grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; one step great-great-grandson, and special friend, Audrey Kannemann, Delta. One brother, Floyd Osborn, and long-time companion, Robert Moore, also preceded her in death. Visitation is Monday from 3-8 p.m. in the Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2010. The Rev. Mark Montgomery will preside and burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
