Notes for ORPHIA RAE BEAL: Orphia grew up on the family farm on Shadel Road in Providence Township, Bailey, Ohio. Later she married George Hytenhove and a daughter, Jerrie. They divorced. She became estranged from her family, although they did keep a slightrelationship up with some of her children. she married? and had about 5 children with a man named Sours (spelling??). Daughter Karen Sours, was raised for awhile by Ionia Beal Frost, her aunt. After that, Orphia married? ... and hadabout 4 more children.

Orphia owned and operated a tavern in Toledo, Ohio. It was located on a side street by a canal, near Erie St. Her nickname was Mike. So, she changed her name to Michelle Rae.?? Spelling might be incorrect. Also the names of herhusbands might be spelled differently.

She died in 1993, after a time in a nursing home. Her obituary was noticed in the paper by Ionia; otherwise, none of the Beals would have known of her death. Ionia knew of her name change. Her daughter, Gerrie Powell, visited EugeneBeal in the summer of 1995.
