"CATHERINE EBEL Catherine Ebel, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ebel (Ruth Henke) of 1057 Melvyn Lane, died in Elyria Memorial Hospital at 8:30 a.m. today after a brief illness. Born in Norwalk, Catherine would have been two on Feb. 8. Survivors, besides the parents, are a brother, Martin, Jr., a sister, Beverly, a grandfather, Frank Henke, and several aunts and uncles. Friends may call at the Welsh-Goldcamp Funeral Home from this evening until time of the service, 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William L. Newton will officiate at the Mass of the Angels. Burial will be in St.Mary Cemetery. -- Chronicle-Telegram, Elyria, Ohio, Jan. 14, 1961"

"Frank R. Henke

Frank R. Henke, a former Democratic councilman and mayoralty candidate in Elyria died yesterday in his home there at 357 Fourth Street. He was 88.

Mr. Henke joined the party in 1896 when democrates were a tiny minority in Elyria. He lived to see the party gain a majoirty and with it the election of a Democratic mayor.

He was elected Sixth Ward councilman in1937 and served three terms. He also ran twice for mayor and once for county commissioner. He served as chairman of the Elyria Democratic precinctmen's organization.

He was a retired carpenter.

Serviving him are eight children Raymond, Francis, James, Robert, Mrs. Catherine Schweda, Mrs. Ruth Ebel, Miss Gertrude Henke and Miss Clara Henke, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Welsh-_____ funeral home Elyria is in charge of arrangements."
