This is a memory of Joyce Willms Atchison of her grandmother, Janna. Written by Joyce after Kathy Johnson sent her poetry written by their grandmother.

I especially found the poetry written by my grandmother fascinating. Oddly enough, although I was only four, I do remember her. She was living with us for awhile. I think she was going from family to family for a few months at a time. Ipicture her always in a black dress - sitting quietly in a rocking chair. But what I remember very vividly is her taking a newspaper and folding it together then taking a scissors and cutting around and around. Then she would open it upand it would be a string of paper dolls, all holding hands hooked together. I was quite fascinated with that. She seemed in my memory to be a very tiny woman.
