Margaret S. Naber, 98, of Baldwin City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

Margaret was born on November 2, 1913 in Vernon County, Missouri, the daughter of Ben and Jennie May (Fears) Johnson who had settled their family on a farm near Bolivar, Missouri. The Johnson family then moved to Springfield, Missouri, where in 1934, Margaret graduated from Springfield High School.

She later met and married Peter R. Naber on March 23, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, where they then moved. To this union were born seven children.

Margaret was a very busy mother and housewife and her husband Peter worked for the Kansas City Structural Steel Company until he retired in 1973. Upon retirement Peter and Margaret retired to Baldwin City, Kansas. In 2001 Peter Naber passed away at the age of 92.
Margaret went home to be with the Lord, June 20, 2012.

Margaret and Peter enjoyed their retirement years and met with other local Christians at the Coal Creek Gospel Hall. Margaret will be missed by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Although she will be missed, we take comfort in knowing her life of faith in Christ and his resurrection insure for her an eternal life with him.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2012, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.

Mrs. Naber's family will receive friends prior to the service Monday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to donor's choice, c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 712 Ninth Street, Baldwin City, Kansas 66006. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
