"In New York Newspapers, 1806-2007:

Schenectady Gazette - Jan 9 1950

Text: "a fire which destroyed a house. Tho dead: Mrs. James Spitler, about 29; Joyce Spitler, ll ..."

The MyHeritage source above seems to be the victim of a poor algorism that combines an article with a Schenectady newspaper. More likely, the newspaper is a Webster City, IA publication.

The details of the article, however, seem credible. Mrs. Spitler & 2 children died on the same date. a house fire would account for that. The article also provides the Christian name for her husband. The information provided by Patrick Welsh has him to be Bud Spitler. Bud most likely is a sobriquet. - D.A. Navorska - xxi Sept MMXVIII - in proximo Grove, OK.
