"John Dorenbush was born in Germany in 1855. He married Martha Boyenga in 1881. They came to America four years later and located in Grundy County, Iowa. They moved to Buffalo Center in 1904. Mrs. Dorenbush passed away soon after theymoved into the town of Buffalo Center.

To this union 12 children were born. ... Everret moved to Sebeka, Minnesota. He raised five children. Their only daughter died very young. The four boys still live. The only one in this area is John V. Dorenbush of Lakota, Iowa...."
